CoDeBReAKeR is currently the third high-altitude balloon from Kentucky Space, and will be the first wholly manufactured and flown by Kentucky Space.  CoDeBReAKeR stands for Controlled Descent Balloon Recovery Automated by Kentucky Research.  The purpose of this balloon is to research the feasability of controlled descent with parafoils, which replaces the recovery parachute by acting as a “wing” that changes shape.  The mechanism for this will be a container which alters and manipulates control lines to the parafoil with a series of actuators.
