UPDATE: HAMSTER-3(D) flight was successful this morning, we had a lot of participation from the HAM community and we’d like to thank everyone for the help. HAMSTER -3(D) (High Altitude Multi-payload Student Teaching and Educational Resource) is Kentucky Space’s latest high-altitude balloon mission, and will launched on November 19, 2011. Its payload, a Panasonic 3D-HD video camera, flew at the top of the flight string to catch dramatic views of Earth and the other payloads below. HAMSTER-3(D) also carried a small video camera to observe the balloon during flight, and a still shot camera to view the horizon.
HAMSTER-3(D) also invited the amateur radio community to become involved! A simplex voice repeater was flown on HAMSTER-3(D), as well as standard payloads such as an APRS and CW beacon. Information for each of these are provided below:

APRS Position Beacon: 300mW 144.390 MHz, callsign KJ4ZVJ-11
CW Morse Code Beacon: 1oomW 146.565 MHz
